Cookie policy

This notice specifically illustrates the types and methods of use of cookies, and explains what actions to take to refuse or delete cookies on the website https://brm-extremities.com/ (“Site”).

Data Controller

The Data Controller is BRM EXTREMITIES SRL (hereinafter the “Controller”), Tax Code/VAT No. 08683610961, registered office at Via Lorenzo Mascheroni no. 29, 20145 Milan (MI), operational office in Civate (23862 – LC), Via Privata ai Campi, 7, in the person of its legal representative pro tempore. Definition of cookies

Cookies are small text files containing a certain amount of information exchanged between a website and the user’s terminal (usually the browser), where they are stored and then retransmitted to the same sites on the user’s subsequent visit. They are mainly used to make websites work and operate more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owners. Cookies may be session or persistent. Session cookies remain stored on the terminal for a short period and are deleted as soon as the user closes the browser. Their use is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) needed to allow secure and efficient browsing of the site. Persistent cookies remain stored on the user’s terminal until a predetermined expiry. Not being deleted when the browser is closed, they allow the user’s choices on the site to be remembered, as well as collecting information about the pages visited, how often the site is visited and identifying the user’s browsing path, in order to improve the experience on this Site. While browsing a site, the user may receive first-party cookies on their terminal, when they are managed directly by the owner and/or operator of the site, and also cookies sent by different sites or web servers (so-called third-party cookies); this happens because the visited website may contain elements residing on servers other than the one hosting the website. In other words, these are cookies set by a website other than the one currently being visited.

Cookies can be divided into three different types:

  • Technical cookies: used solely to enable the correct operation of the site;
  • Analytics cookies: used to collect aggregated information of a mainly statistical nature;
  • Profiling cookies: aimed at creating profiles relating to the user and used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing online.
